Things Learned:

TicketMaster Does Suck, but market alternatives DO exist.

Brown Paper "Fair Trade Tix" was a good alternative, but their staff can be overwhelmed at times  and their ticket printing service can be difficult to use.
(Watch out for default pricing when ordering printing)

Our own ticket prices were in flux….Price volatility was a downer.
Next year we need to figure out pricing and stick to it.
Have options for low income, seniors, students, and Veterans, earlier.

DVD Sales of Event were a big hit - aprox $150 in revenue

We need more merchandise, and WDT T-shirts, etc.

More Book sales at front desk

Should have bought case of Web of Debt, author sold out before speech

Here are conference no-shows: Daniel Hopsicker, Debra Sweet, Eric Nadler, William Pepper. Sweet and Pepper have contacted me with reasons.

New Rule could be that to get flown out, you have to buy your ticket first and then
get re-imbursed. I don't think Hopsicker would have wasted his own money.

Note in Report:

The Marketing Plan completely changed over time, and next year a more formal survey of what worked would be advisable

ESTIMATED SALES WERE CRAZY. Keep projections saner, base them on this year.

The earlier ticket sales estimates were way off, but there was nothing to really base this on. Next year's estimates can be expected to be more accurate. Growth of 20% should be the goal. Bigger venue, too.

MORE Marketing: Postcards, postering in street, w/ volunteers better organized, AND paid promo people

Participant Suggestions:

No such thing as a “1/2 hour lunch break” people need more time.

Include more of a spiritual component. “Group hug.” Yes.
